The kid ran away for his dad, because his dad wouldn't let him go to the party with his friends. that very day the boy went throw the window and ran away. The boy went to his best friends house and stayed there for two days. The father did not know where his son was so he called the police. The police didn't know where the son was either.

Creative. I think you could keep going with this story line to add more. You could show why the son ran away and what the dad did when he was reunited with the son.
